Overview: This role is responsible to deliver high availability services and support for enterprise network & Server side infrastructure. Incumbent on this role will also participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all Network/Server side hardware, software and communication links.
Qualification: Masters / Bachelors degree (16 years of equivalent education) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields from HEC recognized institution.
Age (as of last date of submission of application): Maximum 45 years
Experience:
- At least 10 years’ experience in national/ multinational organizations in domains (not limited to): Network Security, Network Operations. Network Communications, IT Operations, Network Implementation, management & monitoring.
- Extensive knowledge of data centre operations, database administration, ,client/server computing, hosted systems and hardware platforms.
- Hands-on experience on Active Directory, VM/Hyper V, Email System, Next Generation Firewalls and Unified Threat Management (UTM) Solutions.
- Extensive experience on Routing, Switching, Firewall, VPN connections, DSL modems, IP Phones and Load Balancers.
- Relevant practical experience of defining and implementing system security procedures and policies.
- Strong understanding of network topologies, protocol, Layer 3 technologies like IP addressing and sub-netting, DNS etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Software Defined Networks, Routing, Switching and Network Security in Data Center, call center, corporate LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN as per standards and best industry practices.
- Responsible to recommend, plan, design and implement all necessary and required security controls to protect infrastructure services after due review of design documentation and following security practices and guidelines.
- Responsible for day-to-day system administration, including management of internal network, VPN, Microsoft Active Directory (AD), VM & Hyper V, Email Server, system backups, and Storage
- Maintain troubleshoot and upgrade Network Security Infrastructure, Next Generation FWs, ACS, IPS and VPN Capacity planning of SIEM solutions and logs onboarding/shaping.
- Installation and monitoring of Firewalls, VPNs and Network Virtualization with strong abilities to configure devices that enhances/maintain the reliability and stability of the network and strengthens the traffic flow of data throughout global network.
- Produce professional diagrams and documentation for networks and operational best practices, standards, policies and procedures, using MS Visio or any other appropriate tool.
- Monitor all network & communication devices on the Network Management System (NMS) with prompt responses to the concerned team members based on the NMS notifications.
- Able to track down the issues and troubleshoot them with effective manner in order to safe maximum non-operational time and increase uptime.
- Responsible for corporate infrastructure documentation, diagrams, IP Scheming and configuration templates.
- Ensures delivery of individual and team projects allocated within aggressive delivery times.
- Maintains server uptime consistent with Business goals and metrics.
- Execution of DR tests as planned and agreed.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of network engineering, verified by having obtained credentials as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher/ equivalent & MCSE or related Microsoft Certifications
- Basic project management skills
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience of working in Active Directory, including security groups and overall AD structure knowledge.
- Experience of Deploying and Configuring Network Security Appliances (Firewalls, IPS’s, Application Layer Gateways).
- CISSP or equivalent security-related industry certifications will be an added advantage.
