Job Title: AVP/Head - Pre & Commercial Audit

Location: Karachi

Required Qualifications:
Masters / Bachelor’s degree (16 years of equivalent education) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing, Economics, Commerce, Finance, Computer Science, ACCA, Accounting or related field from HEC recognized institution.

Experience: (Post qualification)
Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the areas of Audit, Compliance or finance in any big Corporate or Public/Govt. sector company is required.

Age: (as of last date of submission of application)
45 years maximum.

Job Description:

  • Monitoring of all pre-audit cases / files and sign off the cases with four eye principle.
  • Liaising with Commercial Audit Department for coordinating with audit and replies of paras of audit reports year on year basis.
  • Liaising with Ministry of Finance for replying and monitoring the printed paras in Audit Report of Public Sector Enterprises.
  • Attending the Departmental Accounts Committee meetings (DAC) with MOF and paras in this regard since 1994 to date are discussed /replies.
  • Prepare PAC meetings working papers for audit paras to be discussed are prepared for MD/CEO and liaising with MOF in this regard. Actionable points are monitored for responses to MOF.
  • MOF sends frequent letters for compliance and replies, which are being replied/coordinated.
  • Conduct pre-audit of all activities falling under Level I & II approval matrix and ensure compliance with approved policies and procedures.
  • Review and audit all expenses, payments, procurements, and purchasing transactions before processing.
  • Audit employee related files and other HR matters.
  • Conduct pre-audit of payroll, allowances, benefits, final settlements, and pension payments of all HBFC employees.
  • Verify accuracy, completeness, supporting documentation, and required approvals for all transactions under review.
  • Perform any other task as directed by Supervisor or Management.

Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of audit principles, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies and risks.
  • Reasonable understanding of payroll, pension, procurement, and HR-related processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
